We are currently searching for an enthusiastic and process oriented intern to join our Logistics team, part of Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Leiden. This team consists of 15 employees with backgrounds in engineering, quality and compliance, supply chain and logistics. Logistics team is split into two main groups - logistics and material management. Logistics branch focuses on the processes around our warehouse and distribution center and supports the operations teams in projects and improvements. Material management branch is focused on optimizing our material portfolio – supporting planning in critical supply situation and driving improvements in operations.

You follow a Bachelor or Master degree of Logistics, Supply Chain or Engineering. Besides that you:
- Are able to start in Q1 of 2025
- Have strong problem-solving skills
- Are available for 6 months, 32-40 hours per week
- Speak and write fluently English
- Have knowledge of GMP, WMS or analytical tools like Tableau
- Can work independent, but also in a team
In order to enable manufacturing of our products, 1000+ raw materials are ordered on continuous basis for delivery to our central warehouse at Schiphol- Rijk. To support peak periods, we have qualified an external storage location (next qualifications ongoing) and are able to transfer excess inventory there – when needed. The process of external inventory review is quite manual and transfers – time consuming. While we qualify additional external storage locations, we would like to improve the current process and make it as efficient as possible for the team on the shopfloor, while creating visibility on the inventory held externally to the organization.
